His work currently appears every Tuesday, Thursday, and
Sunday in The Coastland Times newspaper and is featured
regularly in numerous other publications, including rip
Current Magazine, The North Beach Sun, The Chowan
Herald, and The Edge Outer Banks magazine. An
exhibit entitled “Covering the Monument to a Century of
Flight,” featuring the photography of Matt Artz,
was shown at Glenn Eure’s Ghost Fleet Gallery in Nags
Head, NC for nearly a year in 2004.

President George W. Bush, actor John Travolta, and
astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong at the
2003 First Flight Centennial Celebration at
Wright National Memorial
shooting 2003 X-Games
world champion skateboarder Bucky Lasek in Nags Head
two weeks before Lasek captured gold for the second
year in row in Los Angeles, Calif. in 2004
covering Jesse James, of
the Discovery Channel’s Monster Garage, and his
successful flight of a flying car in
Currituck, NC in 2005;
covering the Outer Banks
Pro surfing contest in 2002 and 2004, the 2002
United States Boomerang Team Trials, and the 2002
Miss Outer Banks Hawaiian Tropic contest;
covering the 9/11
aftermath at Ground Zero in New York in October
2001;
and shooting hundreds of
musicians in concert, including Michelle Branch, The
Beach Boys, The Temptations, 2 Live Crew, Clutch,
Afroman, Stanley Jordan, Carbon Leaf, Phunk Junkees,
The Wailers, Aaron Tippin, Lee Greenwood, The
Connells, Reverend Horton Heat, and guitar legend
Hubert Sumlin.
