Sue Artz is a classically trained violinist who grew up in Saratoga Springs NY.  Sue has been playing the violin for 25 years and has been in symphonies all throughout her childhood. Sue’s first experience on stage was when she was 5, singing for a talent show. She was cast as an orphan in an off-broadway production of Annie at age 6 and has been in several other plays.

She has performed in many places, such as Carnegie Hall and has toured with orchestras all over the East Coast during her high school years. Sue graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in music performance from The College of New Paltz, NY.
 

Sue enjoys playing the viola, guitar, cello and mandolin as well as her violin. She loves to play all types of music from classical to rock-n-roll. She plays many festivals and benefits here on the Outer Banks with her trio, Heart Strings & Ivory. 

 

Sue was Vice President of the Wedding Association in 2004-05, and has provided music for more than 800 weddings since her arrival to the Outer Banks in 2001. She also teaches many adults and children in the community.

Sue Artz was a contestant and big winner on
Wheel of Fortune in 2001!

Sue has performed in a Branson-Missouri type show as well as a Beach Music show in 2004 & 2005. She now dedicates her time to providing the perfect atmosphere for weddings here on the Outer Banks.  Sue and her family reside in Kill Devil Hills
and she loves spending time with her sons, Jasper and new baby Ozzie,  and her partner/photographer sweetheart, Matt Artz of
